Laminating film is a kind of sheet material which is made up of the high-quality transparent PET material, spreaded the adhesive EVA in its single side by specially processed.  

• 80 micron - where handling is minimal and moderate flexibility is acceptable, often used when documents are to be filed or protected by a folder.
• 100-150 Micron - where handling is intensive and documents need to stand up to daily use. Examples are sales materials, signs, posters, menus, calendars, membership cards, luggage tags, ID tags, photographs etc.

4. What thickness laminating pouches should I use?

There are varying thicknesses, ranging from 60 micron up to 250 micron, increasing in thickness as it goes up.

Which one to choose depends on your requirements. The thickness determines the rigidity or stiffness of the laminate, so if you want something that is less likely to bend or fold over, a thicker pouch is better. Restaurants often use thick laminating pouches for their menus. However, thick pouches are more expensive, so if you’re doing a lot of laminating and want to keep costs down, thinner pouches might be better.

5. Instructions For Use:

These laminating pouches are all thermal and require a heated or thermal pouch laminating machine to operate:

1.  Open the pouch and place the item to be laminated centrally inside the pouch as close to the sealed edge possible.
2.  Insert the pouch, with the sealed edge first into the laminator at the correct temperature.
3.  Allow the pouch to cool to the touch before handling it.

These are 2 sheets of laminate plastic attached at one end.

-  If the pouch is only slightly larger than your document (for instance, if you are laminating a business card with business-card size pouch) you will need to carefully center the document so there will be an even border all around.

-  If the document is significantly smaller than the pouch, it's not necessary to center the document because you can trim the edges.
